Greetings all belly dancing beauties!
Last winter, an idea was brought up to create a calendar featuring our big, beautiful, belly-dancer (BBBD) sisters and there was such a huge, positive response that this idea has become a reality!
The creative mindset behind this idea, BBBD Meghan, asked BBBD Kamala Devi to chair this project, and with the help of some very motivated BBBD sisters, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications from other BBBD sisters for the BBBD 2008 Calendar!

The deadline for your application is July 31, 2008.
We are all looking forward to this project and are eager to see how the calendar turns out. We hope that this is successful enough to become an annual calendar.

Thu, July 12, 2007 - 11:50 AMGood question - I will allow for "postmarked by" since anything postmarked by July 31 will probably be received within 2 days or so after that anyway, and I guarantee that we probably won't have any decisions made within 2 days of July 31. I'll let the committee know.

We decided to price it so that we don't make a profit, since then we would have had to figure out what the funds would go to benefit and the record keeping would be a bear. We'll announce the price and purchase site once its finished and ready for printing. -

Mon, August 6, 2007 - 7:17 PMHey all - I was on vacation for a week and am trying to get caught up. As Qamar said, these calendars are definitely for purchase and will be announced when available. At this time we are planning on using Cafe Press as they will take care of everything for us once we send them our info. Even though we will announce calendar availability thru Tribe, anyone in the world who can access Cafe Press can purchase a calendar. -

It was a tough choice as we had so many lovely entries to choose from, but we are happy to announce the list names of women as well as 2 groups who will appear in the BBBD 2008 Calendar! Congratulations to our lucky winners:
