you are wonderful.. Some purists will be unhappy that you belly danced to a blues song.. i'm glad not to be a purist. A long time ago, i noticed that black women,, and this is a generalization i understand... but black women seem to be more comfortable in their bodies no matter what size or shape.. They seem to understand that beauty is about more than that.. that beauty comes form within.. And that attitude encouraged me to work towards a similar feeling about myself and my chubby body.. Its all about that attitude.. You are beautiful and in control of your body.. every inch of it. Thanks for posting these.

The costume in the second is amazing. And with so many belly dance fusion styles, dancing to jazz/blues is such an untapped market. It reminded me of those old black and white movies or jazz club talent shows. Never before have belly dancers had so much freedom to explore different styles of music, lighting and costuming. I've always wondered why more black women don't belly dance, especially when they look so fabulous in rich and bright colors.
