Oh where or where are all of the BBBDs?

It's been quiet on here lately. What is everyone up to? I am attending a workshop with Karim Nagi and Nourhan Shariff this weekend in Charlotte, NC and getting ready to perform at the Carolina Renaissance Faire season coming up October through November.

Work is crazy! But I'm loving it. Keeps the days going fast so I can get to either dance class or sewing costumes quicker.

The weather is starting to get cooler, which I hope stays that way for Faire. I'm ready for Fall!

I'm here too. The troupe that I belong to went on a forced hiatus for awhile. Not dancing a whole lot at the moment either. Most of my energy is going into work in my classroom for this program that I'm in. I make stuff for it all the time. I'm anxious to dance again!

I'm here, my computer crashed big time & is just now up. Here's what I have coming up:
Sept. 27th & 28th - Pirates Faire at Lake Casitas
    Oct. 11th - Arba's Fall Hafla
Oct. 18th & 19th - Eagle Castle Winery Renne Faire
Nov. 8th International Day in Santa Maria
Dec. 13th & 14th - Tribal Fusion Faire in San Luis Obispo

And on top of it all, Roger & I have been photographing weddings & doing studio work! And keeping up with our daytime jobs - dang! Now that I look at it - I understand why I feel tired!

I'm here too....I'm just sewing like mad because I'm going to my first SCA event...Spring War.

Its not as big as the US versions of 'Wars' , but it should be fun! So I'm running up a pile of sideless surcoats as I type!

Anyone got a set of feast gear they'll sell me cheaply? LOL

I'm busy as hell these days. I'm directing two major projects at work and traveling too much. My troupe has a gig coming up in three weeks and a major one in early November. So we are sharpening our routine. I've got a solo that I'm also working on for the end of the year. And oh yeah, I have laundry to do too!

Still here, barely. Started working at 5:30 AM, do don't have energy for much beyond scheduled activities. But, I just got back from a weekend retreat where I taught two workshops, and am heading to Oasis Dance Camp in a couple of weeks.. Can't hardly wait.

The Karim Nagi and Nourhan Sharif workshop was awesome! I was so fortunate to be the person to drive Nourhan to and from the studio and to the airport. This gave me the opportunity to get to know her some. She is a little bundle of energy and is so much fun. Her Saidi cane dance workshop was fantastic!

The show that weekend went well except for when the sequin trim in my stick got caught in my hair. I recovered well though. I was just worried that the hairpiece I put on was going to go flying off with the stick! Yes, I know....why am I wearing a hairpiece? I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and I wanted to height so I added a fall to my ponytail and then wrapped my hair around it. Lesson learned.....don't put sequins or anything that can catch on a cane or stick!

So I have a few things still to make to get ready for Faire to begin next weekend. So I will be doing that tonight and tomorrow.

Gasoline has been a problem in Charlotte. I had to drive 20 miles into South Carolina last week to get gas! It is crazy around here. There is no gas and when there is, the lines are so long and people are loosing their tempers! The stations have no organization! It's so frustrating! And now starting next weekend, I'll be driving 70 miles round trip to the faire!
